The North Borneo Railway offers passengers an opportunity to experience the bygone era of British North Borneo while transporting passengers along the lifeline of Sabah. Refurbished to recreate the nostalgic romance of people travelling by steam train in the days of the Chartered Company and the British Colonial Office, both the exterior and interior provide an environment that would have been typical of stepping onto a train in the 1900s.

Day 1: Airport / City Tour / Pacific Sutera Resort
Arrive and meet at airport, We continue on with city tour of Kota Kinabalu. Tour features State Museum, Puh Toh Tze Buddhist Temple, Wisma Tun Mustapha (formerly known as Sabah Foundation Building), and State Mosque. Stop at Shopping Complex or Handicraft market for some souvenir shopping before we check in to 5 star Pacific Sutera Resort. (D)
Day 2: North Borneo Railway (*only available on Saturday) / Pacific Sutera Resort
After breakfast, Meet at hotel lobby and depart to Tanjung Aru Train Station to board the only railway track in Sabah which started running since 1896. The railway track runs down south from Kota Kinabalu to Tenom (Pangi Station), it is appoximately 134 km line length.
The railway track primarily was for the transport of tobacco from the interior to the coast for export, today it serves as reliable public transportation for the locals in the outskirt of town.
On board the North Borneo Railway locomotive takes you on a scenic coutryside seeing to the first stop ofKinarut Town, to visit the Tien Shi Temple that is known for its fine statues.
Proceeding further down on the to Papar, visit the local wet market and the shop houses at Papar Townpassing by some paddy fields, river and villagers along the way.
An traditional ‘Tiffin’ colonial lunch will be serve on board while enjoying the countryside view out from your seat.
Upon arriving back to the Tanjung Aru Train station you will be transferred back to Pacific Sutera Resort and overnight.

Day 3: Check out / Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring / Airport
After breakfasts, check out. We will transfer to and embark about 2 hours to Kinabalu Park. En-route stop visit the Pekan Nabalu for photo stop or buy local produces/ Handicraft.
Proceed to Kinabalu Park a botanist’s paradise was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO covers an area of 754sq.km with an altitude range up to the summit of Mt Kinabalu standing at 4095.2m above sea level. The park is home to the various species of flora and fauna. Visit the Mountain Garden (Botanical Garden) the biggest attractions at the Park. Started in 1981 this 5-acre Garden is an excellent showcase as flora from all over the Park has been replanted here. Many of these plants are not only lovely to look upon but have medicinal value too. Lunch at Kundasang Area.
After that, we move on to Poring Hot Spring. Upon arrival, experience the Poring forest canopy walk and see the spectacular view of tropical rainforest from 100-200ft above the forest floor lead by our guide. The trail is quite steep and the walk takes 30-40 minutes altogether.

Enjoy an invigorating mineral bath in the outdoor tubs based on first come first served or just explore the area.
Pack all belonging and depart from airport.
